  • Players letter: CNZ Top GC Invitation: Friday 21 – Sunday 23 November 2025 Dear All Congratulations on your selection to play in the CNZ Invitation Tournament to be held at St Martins Croquet Club, 11C Gamblins Road, Christchurch who are delighted to be hosting this event. To contact the club during the event please phone the Tournament Manager, Gaylene Jones on 021 977714 Please send all correspondence to [email protected] We look forward to welcoming you all and have outlined the tournament information below St Martins Club: No internet access is available Access to the Club is down the driveway which is sign posted (opposite a bus stop) Parking is available on the street, with the Club car park reserved for officials Tea and coffee available throughout the day Club house fee - $5 per player per day which covers morning and afternoon tea each day Lunch: $10 per day – will be help yourself from platters. Food will vary including salads, meats, wraps and rolls etc. Food available will be suitable for all dietary requirements Payment of Club House fees and / or lunch can be paid by cash on the day or deposit to St Martins Croquet Club bank account: 03 1598 0009548 00 Particulars: Your Name Reference: GCInvitations The Club would prefer players to advise if lunch is required and on which days, by Wednesday 19th November 2025. Reporting time: 8:00am for an 8:30am start each day 5 minute hit-up before play starts each day for all players AHS cards: it would be helpful to have these signed off by your Club Captain / Handicapper prior to the event Lawns: St Martins has 4 lawns, requiring 1 lawn to be double banked throughout the event. The first round each day will have lawns allocated with players selecting lawns for the other rounds Please bring markers **Current average lawn speed is 9.5 taken on 28th October 2025 **Mowing – will be completed twice during the week before the event. No mowing planned during the tournament Balls: Dawson balls to be used Hoops: Quadway hoops set as per conditions in the current Yearbook – Appendix 5: page 301, GC Tier 1 New hoop holes will be set and moved if required during the event Format: Best of 3 matches played, single round robin (9 rounds), 13 point games Winner will be decided using the following order: Match Wins / Net Games / Net Hoops / Who beat Who Referee of Tournament: John Borner Referees on request: Gaylene Jones and players if required Appeals Committee: John Borner Paul Kaiser Mark Huttley Health and Safety: Sunscreen and First Aid Kit available Further information at the first day briefing Practice session: this will be available on Thursday from 2pm to 4pm.
