After three rounds on Sunday Tom Yates took out the Essick clan and finished with 3 wins, 0 losses. Matthew Essick and Danny Huneycutt finished 2-1 while Jon Essick and Steve Summer finished 1-2.

Jon Essick, after turning down a opportunity to score some more hoops near the end of the 3-hour time limit, could only watch as Tom Yates, in last turn, masterfully 2-balled through 3 hoops, attacked corner 1 to help him score the tying and go-ahead hoops at 5 and 6. It appeared that he was going to set a strong leave to seal the victory but he mistakenly did a tight join with his partner to give Jon a 19 yard shot at a 10-inch target and a sure victory. Jon buckled with a bad miss to give Tom the springboard victory.
