he played eugene this afternoon and did the 3 peels of a tpo only to have a maugham error

after penult he roquets blue in to the jaws of 6! Doh!!!
has to take off to black at the peg with yellow in front of rover ready for the peel

puts black next to rover
rushes to bang in front of rover, kneels down to line up the peel
should be all over

gets the peel, hits black and has a 5 yard take off to get a rush on partner to the peg

gets a yard rush to peg, rushes 3 yards south west of the peg

wise ran hoop 1 anyway trying to make a roquet on partner which is 3 yards north of 1, runs hoop but no roquet so lovely position for hopgood to start his sxp

lawn 4: trimmer tries to take contact but only has a lift, avery reminds him. no issues though, makes a roquet with brown for hoop 4, runs 4 with a break

lawn 5: dawson going round on his 3 ball break, rolling to 2back and 3back now

lawn 6: hopgood gets greedy after rushing roughly in front of 1back, tries peel imeediatley but bounces off to 6 yards south west

goacher is desperatley seaking a Z game, no one slightly interested at the minute........wonder why haha

lawn 4: trimmer leaves the lawn with all the balls in the middle after presumably missing his roquet after hoop 6.

lawn 6: hopgood plays an awful croquet stroke sending peelee past 2back and only get halfway to his hoop4 pioneer leaving himself a 5 yarder, no problems though as he rushes to hoop 4
not getting the balls where he wants at the minute
gets extremely lucky in rushing partner through hoop 1 to get in to peeling position in front of 2back

lawn 6: hopgood not playing an recognisable croquet strokes in this turn, anyway has made 6 and is trying to peel 3back from 2 yards going to blue which is 10 yards south of 1back

doesnt get the peel but it stays within an inch of 3back

rushes to coner 4 after 1back

puts blue to 4back, rushes red in front of 3back, gets the peel but his rush to 2 back is pointing 2 yards east of hoop 5, still no croquet strokes appearing

snicks it and has to roll up to 2back from 2 yards behind 5

trimmer tells me that higgins forgot that she was giving a lift having made 1back and 4back in the turn when time is called. she pegged a ball out to level the scores but left on of oppos ball in baulk, he was for peg and peg so just had to peg one ball out to win.
