Day 2 of the Moorabinda July Tournament has dawned crystal clear, with no wind. Absolute perfect conditions for players to enjoy the great croquet facilities here in Bunbury.

Day 1 has produced some stand-out results, with block leaders looking to further increase their advantage today. Fantastic to see a solid roll-up of players from Dunsborough club in this tournament, and a return to competition of Bunbury Central member Michael O'Sullivan, with all enjoying some successes.

Block 1 has been a bit of a Moorabinda vs Halls Head battle, with Peter Ross flying the Halls Head flag very successfully despite all other players in the block doing their best to get the better of what will be a landslide to Halls Head. Currently on Court 2 the Domestic Cup between John and Dale Jury is underway. Round 1 yesterday saw John take the first game, but with Dale in play now, anything can happen.

Full credit today to local member Marie Hall who is filling in for a player unable to attend. This is Marie's first ever AC competition game, and she's doing splendidly - even making a few hoops. Appreciation also to her gentle opponent, who is kindly demonstrating the true spirit of sportsmanship.

If you're not here today, you're missing out. The weather is perfect, the grounds are magnificent, and the kitchen staff have outdone themselves ......yet again. Any wonder I go home 2 kilos heavier after managing a tournament!
