Good morning from The Pinehurst Country Club.
The weather is beautiful and breezy. All three doubles matches are underway.
On lawn 1, Rothman and Maloof are playing Maugham and Trimmer.
Opening saw Rothman (K) go to standard opening position. Maugham (R) to south of C2. Maloof (U) missed K. Trimmer (Y) missed towards U and K.
On turn 5, Maloof (U) failed to get a good rush to H1 and approached from near H6. He failed position and returned to partner on the east boundary.
Turn 6: Trimmer (Y) to C3.

Defensive roll to H2 sends black to near the north boundary 3 yards east of C2, Trimmer deliberates over a 4 foot 15 degree hoop shot. Maugham tells him to do what he normally would do. He shoots and fails off the far wire.

HIts K, but it stays directly behind H5.
