This eagerly awaited match between the two strongest teams in the event did not disappoint.

After much negotiation over when to play it became clear that Dulwich had assembled their strongest team supplemented by Lionel. Missing were some of their regulars: Andrew Dymond, Sue Lightbody and Simon Carter though two of them did come to watch.

After Stepehn (win) , Chris (lost) the score was 3-2 to Dulwich and it was down to the regulars Howard and Don to get the required wins. Don beat Mark (2-0 to tie the match 3-3.

After Howard cruised through the first game Guy woke up and started to make a match of it. Apart from the players a crowd of a dozen had gathered and it all went to the 13th hoop. Howard and Surbiton had the victory.
