As I'm not required today I thought I'd do a bit of commentary. A lot of players are not playing this afternoon as the Burridge Swiss comes down to its final 2 rounds. 5 wins or 6 losses in the swiss gets you into either the main event or the plate depending on which you do.
Cheltenham is mild but overcast today. I'm sat in the tearoom looking out at lawns 7+8

On lawn 8 Louise Bradforth, the current Womens champion is playing Canadian Brian Cumming and has gone round to 4back first with Y, leaving K just E of corner 2, U in corner 4, R 10yds N of U and Y in corner 3. It is a contact leave as all singles games are superadvanced.

Lawn 8 Brian lifted K to Y, rolled Y to south of 6 and then missed R leaving a rush to corner 4. Louise has rushed K into the corner for a cannon

Lawn 7 Sam is approaching 3back and looks to be leaving K/U across corner 4 after making 3back but Y is floating between hoops 1 and 5 at the moment

Sam has left K 5yds E and U 5yds N of corner 4 and having took off to Y, rushed it 12yds S of corner 2. Stops Y to a couple of yds S of the corner and fires into corner 3.

Lawn 8 Louise played a little takeoff from the cannon and the following rush brought both balls 3yds from the corner. Rolled U to 2 but failed to approach 1 off partner and has laid up in corner 1.
Brian shot U at K just missing. Louise sent Y to by 3 going to Brian's balls and then missed.

Lawn 7 Dave tried rushing Sam's Y in front of 1 for a pop before 5 but failed and then put it to the peg. Looks like he has switched to plan B. No more 4 back with pops but 1 back with a spread is the new plan
