4(cont). P sends B onto court 4y and rushes G to W bdry just behind W. G to hoop 2, rushes W to 1 and should be away on a break.

4(cont). P makes 1. Waits for other game.
The morning is sunny with a steady 20 km/hr wind from the East flags are standing out straight. The flags of tHe competing nations are all on the side away from tHe clubhouse. Now not so sunny and I note we have 4/8 low cloud. Temperature is a comfortable level, probably about 22 degrees C.
P has made 2, sent G to 4 but wayward as it is 4y NE of the hoop. B is rushed to 6y ESE of 3 with W as a good pioneer. He makes 3.
Several noisy helicopters linger in the vicinity.
We are down to just four full-time refs this morning, Stephen Howes from Sydney, Colin Irwin from Florida and England, Brian Monckton from NZ and myself from Canberra.

P's four-ball break is well controlled and I expect it to go to 4b... But maybe not so far.

4(cont). P has made 6, the pioneers are getting closer to the hoops, at 6 and 1b just 3 ft out. I'm just back from a couple of refs calls, nothing difficult. P has made 1b.

4(cont). I will concentrate on the one match, which is likely to be the most interesting. P makes 2b and assembles G and W at the peg. He makes 3b and Puts B in the jaws of 3b, G 7y S of 2 and his balls on the E bdry (Max distance from baulks) lwith a rush for W towards the centre.

6. W rushes P to 4y NW of 4 and bombards B out of 4 with a pass roll to G in IV. He sends G to 6y SE of 2 and has a rush to 1. He waits for the other game. P remains just N of 4 and B is a foot S of 4.

6(cont). W rushes B to only half way to 1. His roll to the hoop falls short. The hoop attempt fails to the W bdry, level with 1.
The wind has dropped a little but still strong, enough to grip the back-swing of some players.

7. I lost some commentary and copied it to the Nottingham board.
The nub of it was that Reg hit gently with B and has made a sextuple leave with G in III, B 4y NE of 3, W between 3 and III and P 4y NE of 1.
Peter Landrebe walks up to III has a good look and goes back to P. He waits for the d-b game.

The last lot of commentary has been copied to the Nottingham Board when it didn't gorerly on this programme.
Reg has done five peels and is attempting the last one from an angle. Success! Both balls go through and he will finish 26sxp-9 .
This has been too difficult and I will not be continuing commentary today. Best Regards to all, Tony
