Seeding was based on the Player Choice method based on block position and world ranking.

The four block winners, in ranking order, chose their positions in the draw. This determined the semifinal match-ups if all the block winners won their quarter finals because second to fourth all chose a vacant quarter of the draw. Then the four runners-up, again in ranking order, chose their quarter final opponents. Edmund, as highest ranked runner-up, had first choice and chose a re-match against Declan, who had beaten him in block play. After Charlie and Jamie made their decisions Jakob took the last spot.
