Good morning from Hunstanton. Fair weather forecast today, but due to be a bit colder and damper for the weekend.

Hunstanton is a regular host club for the eights, but this will be the first time the President's Cup (The Pres) has been played here.

Christian Carter, Gavin Carter (I'll try to remember to use forenames!) and Jose Riva are making their first appearance this year. (When was the last time there were 3 debutees in Pres in the same year?)

To go with this we have the three players with the all time most appearances, me starting appearance number 26, David Maugham his 28th and Stephen Mulliner a colossal 39th. Rounding the field Samir Patel is on his 7th and James Hopgood his 4th.

The planned schedule is 4 rounds for the next three days. Then 2 rounds and if necessary play-offs on Sunday.
