A good tournament despite the terrible weather on Sunday. Thank you to all the helpers, umpires, and our referee (Dennis) for making the tournament run smoothly. Only 12 entries this year a little disappointing. The winner was Vince Neal of the Rose Gardens, Palmerston North. Vince also won last year so he will have to come back again to defend his title. The Runner up was Stewart Pye of Masterton and the 3rd place was filled by Baubre Murray of Kelburn (also an associate member of Waikanae)
The winner in each section was easy to find as both Vince and Stewart had 4 wins, but the minor placings were much closer as I had players in both sections with 3 wins so a count back was necessary. Thank goodness for the computer which did it for me. .
Looking forward to the tournament next year and I do hope the weather is better.
