Unfortunately a substantial cloudburst flooded the lawns mid afternoon and forced the suspension of play. It was uncertain how long the lawns would take to dry sufficiently for play to continue, given the amount of rain overnight and the lack of historical knowledge, given they have all been relaid in the last few years.
An attempt was made to re-start some games but, after consultation betwen the managers, club lawns manager and the tournament director it was agreed to abandon further play.

In Tier 1 this did not affect the winning outcome but games between Scotland and Spain were abandoned: David Magee v Juan Bravo-Ferrer abandoned at 9-7 pts; Martin Murray v Juan Ojeda at 11-20 pts and John Surgenor v Fernando Alvarez-Sala at 18-17pts.

In Tier 2 play was abandoned with each side having won an equal number of games. No partial scores were recorded.

In Tier 3 no games in the final round were completed (partial scores unrecorded) affecting the last 2 games in each of the three tests.
