Cheltenham B Levels
Summary by Sarah Hayes
Hello everyone,
Many congratulations to Adam Moliver who beat Neal Bacon +9 in the final of the Cheltenham B Levels.
The 3rd/4th place play-off was won by Stephen Wright who beat Alan Clark +19.
There was a hands ladder as a consolation event so the games recorded under the Swiss page within the event do not tell the full story - all block and KO games counted towards the Ladder and semi-finalists did not qualify. A minimum of 5 games were required.
Only 4 players actually ended up with a final ladder rating higher than the starting rating - disregarding the semi finalists of course.
So, 4th in the ladder was Ray Mead, third was Roger Willbourn and second was Andy Smith. Scoring a magnificent 121 and the Ladder Winner was Sarah Melvin who was terrific throughout.
Lovely sunshine - a bit too hot on Saturday - and a great atmosphere throughout - thanks to everyone who attended and hope to see you all again another year!
Best wishes
Sarah
