After heavy rain for some hours the lawns were unplayable by about 3.00 on the last day. The Men's Singles finalists had struggled their way through the puddles to finish the second game of the best-of-3 tied 1-1, but there was no likelihood of the lawns drying enough to allow the third game to be played. So the title was declared shared between Dennis Bulloch and John Christie. The Women's Singles Final was completed, as Nina Mayard-Husson won both games. The blocks for 5th to 8th for both Men and Women were incomplete and neither 3rd/4th playoff happened.
