Australia - GC Open Singles

Format by Peter Freer

Singles = 37 players (at this stage) so:
• 4 blocks of 9-10 players, playing a double round robin (using 12 courts to maximise single banking) over first 2.5 days (7 rounds/day);
• take 16 players into the KO (top 4 each block), with bo3 R16 on Friday arvo (Day 3). Rest into Plate;
• bo3 QF & SF on Sat (Day 4). Plate, Y, W, Z underway;
• bo5 Final on Sun (Day 5), plus other finals….
• back-up plan (if bad weather etc means block play takes all of Friday) then bo3 R16 & QFs Sat, and bo3 SFs & Final on Sunday.
