The Singles Draw has been re-done after Pete Landrebe had to withdraw due to covid-19 travel restrictions.

Format is Block Play

1) Four blocks of 9 players, seeded, with each player to play each other player in the block twice (13 point game) in a double round robin.

2) Players placed 1 to 4 in each block, based on games won, will proceed to the final 16 knockout stage. There will only be play-offs for qualifying positions – once you have qualified, place within the block will be decided by games won, then net points, then who beat who.

3) Blocks will play the first 7 rounds on Wednesday (Day 1), another 7 rounds on Thursday (Day 2) & the remaining rounds on Friday (Day 3). Players may play more rounds on a day if conditions permit, at the Tournament Manager’s discretion, but players may decline to play more than 6 games on any day. Players should have lunch when time permits, between games.

The Knockout

4) Players will be drawn for the knock-out phase based on final placing in initial blocks. The knockout will be 3 rounds of best of three 13 point games, and then a best of five Final (Tournament Manager’s discretion).

5) The Round of 16 will be played on Friday (Day 3). The 8 losers from the Round of 16 proceed to the Y Event. The 4 losers from Round 1 of the Y proceed to the W Event.

6) The Quarter-Finals will be played on Saturday AM (Day 4). The 4 losers from Quarter-Finals in the X event proceed to the Z event.

7) Semi-Finals will be played on Saturday PM (Day 4), along with the Y & Z events.

8) The Final (best of five) will be played on Sunday (Day 5) along with the playoff for Third & Fourth, and the bo3 finals of the Y, Z & W events.

The Plate Event

9) A Plate event will be conducted as 2 blocks, depending on numbers. The Plate will start on Friday (Day 3) and finish on Saturday (Day 4), unless the numbers require it to continue into Sunday (Day 5). Top 2 in each block go into the Finals, which will be a single 19 point game semi-final & final, at the Tournament Manager’s discretion.
