Lovely morning again in Kingston, and things are heating up at the pointy end of block stages

On court one in front of my we have bob beatie versus Yvonne Shaw as primary colours, and Curtis mead versus Russell brown as secondary colours

Unfortunately neither Yvonne or Bob can qualify for their block (blue block), with myself and graham hyland on two wins each. However our secondary colours game between Curtis and Russell is a must win to qualify for either player, with all four from that block on one win and one loss with one game to play

Curtis had first play to one, Russell managed to get a clearance with white meaning Curtis couldn’t have an early crack, and the two are now vying for position

Seems to be the story of the tournament so far, not many players have managed to break away, hoops have often been exchanged back and forth, meaning we’ve got lots of close exciting games, but many that are going to time and not completing. An unfortunate side effect of playing a tournament in Tasmania during winter

Curtis looks to have made decisions giving himself good looks at hoops while the opponent has either a long hoop or a medium tricky row yet, good choice in skatey and windy conditions we’re currently experiencing
