NSW AC Selectors’ Squad Tournament
Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 August 2024
at CNSW Headquarters, Tempe
FORMAT
Two blocks of 5 players each playing a round robin, followed by 5 “cross block” games between players finishing in the same position in each block.
TIMES OF PLAY
Play starts at 8.00 am each day. Other sessions will be commenced as soon as players and lawns are available. A break of 5 minutes is allowed between sessions 1 & 2, and a 20-minute lunch break is permitted between sessions 2 and 3.
CONDITIONS OF PLAY
Time limit for all games is 2½ hours. Most games will be double banked. No extra time is allowed for double-banked games, but clocks may be stopped for lengthy delays in the other game.
A 5 minute warm up is permitted before the start of the first game each day. Dawson International balls will be used.
Atkins Quadway hoops will be used, set at 3 and 11/16 inches with a tolerance of ±1/32nd of an inch.
Players are responsible for the setup of the lawn before the first game and the packing away of lawns after the last game. Players should arrive by 7.30 am to assist with setting up the lawns.
DETERMINATION OF BLOCK WINNERS
The winner and other positions shall be determined as; most games won, then net points, then result of game(s) between the players.
PRACTICE
Players may practice on the lawn before play provided that the lawn is set up. This practice will cease at 7.45 am.

REFEREEING
It is probable that there will be no referees on Saturday apart from the Tournament Referee. On Sunday both the Tournament Referee and the Tournament Manager will be available. Referees will be on request.
CATERING and COVID-19
Players must adhere to the current CNSW COVID-19 restrictions, which basically state that you should not play if you are unwell. Players should supply their own lunch, although lunches may be purchased from Concordia Club. Morning and afternoon tea are provided.
HANDICAPS
Players are responsible for their own AHS handicap cards, and they should bring their AHS handicap card on day one. Players must complete details of each game played at the conclusion of the game. Any change of handicap after each game must be entered on the front of the card and signed off by the manager.
