Just to clarify the format used. The first five rounds of the doubles were played in the form of best of two. Four rounds were planned for day one. The second game of round 4 has actually played on day 2 with an 8am start. At the conclusion of round 5 we took stock of the situation to determine how best to proceed. The decision was made that there was sufficient time to enable five further rounds to be played as single games. The results from those games were combined with the best of two results which were then collectively treated as 3 game matches with Tournament Regulation 20.7.8 used to determine the winner. Had there been significant delay during the playing of the initial five rounds a number of alternative completion options were available. These included:

1. BO3 positional play-offs where there was insufficient time to complete five further rounds of play.
2. Single game positional play-offs where time did not allow for BO3.
3. Deciding the winner based on the results of the initial BO2 five rounds where no further play was possible.
