26 players in two qualifying blocks each playing a round robin, followed by tie-break games if required, a knockout for the championship and a Plate event.

Following completion of the round robin games and any tie-break games the top eight from each block will enter the Finals knockout, and the remaining ten players (five from each block) will enter the Plate.

Players who qualify for the “X” knockout will be placed in position in the knockout using the Cohort Randomised Seeding method.

For this purpose all players who have qualified will be ranked in order of their World Ranking as at 24 April.
Cohort 1 (the top 2 players) will be placed in positions 1 and 16, with the next
2 players (Cohort 2) placed at random in positions 8 and 9.
The next 4 (Cohort 3) will be placed at random in positions 4, 5, 12 and 13, and the final
8 players (Cohort 4) will be placed at random in the remaining 8 positions.

When placing players at random, changes may be made to postpone likely block clashes as late as possible.
This allocation to knockout positions will be done immediately after the determination of all places in the qualifying blocks has been completed, including any tie-breaks which are necessary.
