Aust - RC Open Doubles

Format by Peter Freer

Play will be two blocks each of seven pairs, playing a single 26 point game (2 hour time limit) in a round robin against each other pair in the block on Monday & Tuesday (Days 1-2), plus Wed Day 3 if needed.

Places will be decided by ACA Tournament Regulation 20.1.5 (ie block games won, then net hoops, then which pair beat whom). Players tied on equal wins, whose selection for the Knockout is in jeopardy, will not play-off to decide block placings.

Pairs finishing 1 & 2 in each block will go into the Knockout Finals, playing single 26 point game matches on Wednesday Day 3.

The other Pairs will play-off for the Plate, playing a flexible Swiss of single games on Wednesday Day 3. These will be 14 point games, with a one hour time limit, and you must play at least 3 games to win. The winner is the player with the best percentage (games won/games played).
