Welcome to the CNZ Don Reyland Memorial Stars Event that will be held on 6 – 8th March at Epsom Remuera Croquet Club, 259 Gilles Avenue, Epsom Auckland
Geraldine Lummis [email protected] is the Tournament Manager and will be assisted by Chris Smith. The Tournament Referee will be Sharon Browne.

The Appeals Committee will comprise of Tournament Referee Sharon Browne, Jim Gilligan, Barbara Dimmock and Anthony Ritchie.

The lawns will be open on Thursday March 5 between 3 – 4.30 pm for any entrants wishing to practice. Practice will be on the competition hoop holes. Therefore, there are to be no hard-hitting attempts at the hoops during practice time. If observed, one warning will be issued; a further instance will result in your practice privilege being withdrawn.

Starting time on both days is 8.30 am. Please be at the Clubhouse by 8 am on Friday March 6 for an official welcome and briefing, and to allow time for a 5 min warm-up session prior to play. The 5 min warm-up will apply each day.

Please remember to bring your AHS Card and hand it to Chris Smith.

The Clubhouse Fee is $5 per day ($15pp) and is not included in your entry fee. This fee covers morning and afternoon tea. Lunch will be available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for $!0 per day. You can pay by cash on the day or use online banking – details below.

Format

The draw is based on giving full tournament play for all competitors. The draw will be listed on Croquet Scores.
Round Robin – Day 1 = 5 games, Day 2 = 5 games, Day 3 =3 games.
In the event of two players being tied for wins, a 13-hoop FINAL will be played.
In the event of 3+ players being tied for wins, the winner will be the player with the highest scoring ratio.
There will be no time limits for any match.
This letter will be downloaded onto Croquet Scores in the Commentary section for your reference.

General Information;.
• All games will be posted on Croquet Scores.
• Trophy, Badges and certificates will be awarded at the end of the event.
• If you leave the grounds during the event, please check with the manager prior to leaving.
• Parking is available on the drive or at the top left of the drive.
• There is no Wi-Fi at the club available for general use.
• A Social Event. You are invited to a BBQ to be held on Saturday at the Epsom Remuera Club after play. It is a chance to meet socially for a fun evening.
• The cost will be $15 pp payable at the event or by online banking. Please email me by Wednesday 4 if you wish to attend.
Catering
• Morning tea will be available starting at 9.30am until 11.00am.
• Afternoon tea will be available at 2.30pm until 4.00pm.
